Keep​ ​dry.​ ​Coir​ ​material​ ​breaks​ ​down​ ​and​ ​discolored​ ​when​ ​it​ ​gets​ ​wet.​ ​The​ ​coir​ ​material​ ​does​ ​shed​ ​but​ ​the​ ​shedding​ ​is​ ​caught​ ​in​ ​the​ ​mat​ ​-​ ​it​ ​does​ ​not​ ​track​ ​inside​ ​of​ ​your​ ​home.​ ​Shake​ ​it​ ​or​ ​vacuum​ ​it​ ​every​ ​few​ ​weeks​ ​to​ ​keep​ ​clean.​ ​
